"Since the creation of a border point on April 23, more than 2,000 residents of Karabakh have freely crossed to Armenia and returned. On June 15, Armenia committed another military provocation, injuring one of our border guards, and the road was closed during the investigation. But then it was reopened," said Ilham Aliyev in an interview with "Euronews."
"The Red Cross has resumed the transportation of medicines from Armenia and the evacuation of patients in need of treatment. Unfortunately, during the inspection, illegal goods were found in the trucks of the Red Cross: cigarettes, smartphones, gasoline. The Red Cross acknowledged this and told us they were not responsible for the smuggling. At the same time, the logo of the organization was depicted on the uniforms of trucks and drivers," added the president.
"Winning the war was the mission of my life, or at least of my political life, and I successfully accomplished it. We have won the war, we have restored justice, our territorial integrity. And now we are talking about peace. If Armenia wants peace, we will achieve it, because we have no territorial claims from Armenia, and we do not want them to have territorial claims against us. I mean, the people who live in Karabakh, in the area now temporarily controlled by Russian peacekeepers, are in Azerbaijan. They have to make a choice: to stay here and live as our citizens and a national minority (we have many of them), or to leave," said the President of Azerbaijan.
