The World Council of Churches (WCC) is calling on Azerbaijan to immediately lift the blockade of Nagorno Karabakh as more than 120,000 people, including 30,000 children, suffer from a dire humanitarian crisis.
"The only road connecting Armenia, the Lachin Corridor, has been blocked for more than 7 months, causing a humanitarian crisis that has put the lives of 120,000 people, including children, at significant risk.
The PACE calls on the international community to intervene immediately and quickly to stop the blockade, save the lives of the people of Artsakh, and continue efforts to find diplomatic solutions for peace in the region," said PACE Secretary General Jerry Pillay.
