According to Politico, the first American Abrams tanks may appear on the battlefield in Ukraine by September of this year. The publication, citing people familiar with American military plans, reports that the first batch will be six to eight tanks.
The USA has promised to send 31 Abrams to Ukraine, that is, one Ukrainian tank battalion.
