The French Foreign Ministry calls on Azerbaijan to open the Lachin Corridor

At the request of the French Foreign Ministry, Azerbaijan appealed to unblock the Lachin corridor.

"France is sorry for the blocking of the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijan. It contradicts the obligations assumed by the ceasefire agreements and harms the negotiation process. France expresses its full support for the July 26 statement of the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy regarding the humanitarian situation affecting the population of Nagorno Karabakh.

France calls on Azerbaijan to fulfill its international obligations, particularly to apply the interim measures mentioned in the February 22 decision of the International Court, which is mandatory. France calls for restoring the free movement of goods, people, and goods through the Lachin Corridor in both directions. Together with the EU, France remains fully committed to establishing a stable and just peace in the region," the French Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
