ICRC calls for humanitarian convoys to be allowed through Lachin, Aghdam, or another route

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) issued a statement reflecting the Lachin Corridor's blockade, Artsakh's blockade, and the humanitarian roads.

ICRC statement says: "Despite persistent efforts, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is currently unable to deliver humanitarian aid to civilians through the Lachin Corridor or other routes, including Aghdam. The organization calls on relevant decision-makers to allow the ICRC to resume its essential humanitarian operations.

The ICRC's work is very humanitarian. We are heartened that the ICRC evacuated 24 sick patients through the Lachine Corridor in the last few days, providing them with the necessary medical care. The organization has evacuated more than 600 people who needed emergency medical care since December 2022. The ICRC continues its dialogue with the parties and is ready to continue its humanitarian work when such a consensus is found."
