The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan issued a statement responding to the interview given by the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan to the French newspaper "Le Monde," where he spoke about the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace negotiations, the blockade of the Lachin Corridor and the aggressive actions of Azerbaijan.
Pashinyan specifically stated in the interview, "Currently, the main obstacle to peace is the aggressive and illegal actions by Azerbaijan towards Nagorno-Karabakh, especially in the Lachin Corridor, as well as on the borders of Armenia. The Lachin Corridor is the only way connecting the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh with the outside world."
In response, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan responded, explicitly stating: "The cessation of attempts by Armenian officials to interfere with the reintegration of Armenians and the unconditional recognition of Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity are the most necessary conditions for ensuring peace in the region," the message said.
