Iran does not see any obstacle for the development of relations with Armenia

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi received Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and his accompanying delegation on a visit to Tehran on Monday. Emphasizing the need to solve regional problems through the region's countries, Raisi emphasized that foreign intervention only aggravates the situation, the IRNA agency reports.

"By supporting the peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Iran hopes that these talks will create peace, security, and tranquility in the region," he added.

Emphasizing that Iran does not accept any geopolitical changes or the movement of borders between countries, Raisi added that Iran supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all nations in the area.

He emphasized the maximum level of relations between the two countries, adding that Iran has no obstacles to developing relations with Armenia.

Ararat Mirzoyan, for his part, highly appreciated Iran's position regarding the events in the South Caucasus region. "Armenia will never become a platform for anti-Iranian operations and will always focus on expanding regional security and peace," he said.

Mirzoyan considered relations with Iran significant for Armenia and emphasized the importance of strengthening diplomatic ties between the two countries.
