"Aliyev assured me that Azerbaijan does not seek to create a corridor;" Abdollahian
Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Abdolahian, during a press conference with RA MFA Ararat Mirzoyan, referred to the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace negotiations, the so-called "Zangezur Corridor" issue and told details of his meeting with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
Abdollahian, in particular, stated, "I told my colleague [Ararat Mirzoyan] that in the last meeting with the President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Aliyev raised the issue of the Zangezur Corridor to remove the obstacles related to this corridor, and he assured that Azerbaijan would not seek to create a corridor and close the communication channels between Azerbaijan and Armenia. We also informed the Azerbaijani authorities that Tehran did not close the communication route between Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan even during the crisis."
