Italy has offered Ukraine aid for the reconstruction of the cathedral hit by a missile in Odessa

Italy has offered Ukraine help to restore the bombed Transfiguration Cathedral in Odesa and other damaged architectural heritage sites, Rome said in a statement.

An airstrike alert was announced twice in Odesa last night.

The city council reported the damage to the Transfiguration Temple. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it did not hit the area where the cathedral is located. It explained its damage because it was probably hit by a Ukrainian missile "as a result of ignorant actions of air defense system operators."
