Within the framework of the media forum held in Shushi, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev referred to the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace negotiations, the post-war situation in the region, and the future terms of concluding a peace treaty.
"We still haven't lost hope that the sane part of the population of Stepanakert and its surroundings will understand the unreality of neglecting Azerbaijan. And common sense will win. Otherwise, it is naive to think that some forces will come and fight against Azerbaijan instead of them. No one will fight for them or against us on the territory of Azerbaijan. They should understand and accept the realities. They had several stages of facing and accepting reality. We were also told in the previous 30 years to accept the realities of the 1st Karabakh war. But I did not accept. Now I am telling them to accept it. And the attempt to change those realities will not be in favor of either Armenia or Karabakh's Armenian minority," said Aliyev.
