The US Department of Defense may use up to 3,000 reservists to deploy to Europe.
"We must strengthen the active contingent of US troops to effectively conduct NATO's Operation Atlantic Resolve in the US European Command (EUCOM) area of responsibility," said a new order signed by US President Joe Biden.
