On Wednesday, the Polish authorities made a moral decision, allowing the construction of the first nuclear power plant in the country to begin. Anna Moskva, Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland, announced this. At the end of June, the Polish government announced it would invest about 1.2 billion dollars in constructing a nuclear power plant.
The work should start already in 2023. It is planned that the first unit with a capacity of 1.6 GW will be commissioned in 2033. The first nuclear power plant in Poland will be built near the village of Chocewo in the Pomeranian Voivodeship on the Baltic Sea coast.
