China has released its first open-source operating system called OpenKylin. According to Chinese state media, one of the reasons for its creation is to strengthen efforts toward technological dependence on the United States.
The Chinese version, released on Wednesday and based on the existing open-source Linux operating system, has been developed by about 4,000 developers and is used in the space program, finance, and energy.
