Russia has spent more than 85 billion dollars on the military sector this year

Russia's military spending budget for 2023 is around 6.6 trillion rubles ($85.8 billion), says a new report from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).
This is about 4.4% of the projected gross domestic product of the country. In 2021, before Putin invaded Ukraine, Russia's military budget was about 3.6% of GDP.
