The Ministry of Defense of Israel reported that Israel has approved a $3 billion deal to buy a third squadron of F-35 fighter jets.
The additional 25 planes manufactured by Lockheed Martin will bring the number of F-35s in the Israeli Air Force to 75. the ministry informed, adding that Israel will finance the transaction through the defense aid package from the United States.
