112 people died in Mexico due to abnormal heat

According to local media, the number of victims of the heat in Mexico has reached 112 in the last few weeks. Doctors note that mortality is rapidly increasing against record-high temperatures, particularly in the northwest and southeast of the country. The highest number of victims were in Nuevo and León states: 64, Tamaulipas: 19, Veracruz: 15, Tabasco: 14.

The country's Ministry of Health reported that the dead were 45-64 years old on average. One hundred four people died from direct thermal shock.
