40,000 police officers are involved in France to maintain order

Forty thousand policemen will be involved in ensuring the safety of the streets in several French cities where there are protests after the shooting of a teenager by a policeman. This was announced by Gerald Darmanin, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the republic, on Thursday, June 29. Five thousand policemen will ensure order in Paris and its suburbs alone.

Greater Paris public transport has temporarily changed its working hours. It will stop working at 21.00 local time. The authorities explained this with the need to ensure the safety of the employees and passengers of the transport companies in the background of the riots.
