The French Directorate General of Armaments (DGA - Direction générale de l'Armement) has announced the testing of the VMaX hypersonic aircraft prototype.
VMaX specifications and test details still need to be provided. However, experts from the Janes analytical group assumed that the plane's speed corresponds to the lower limit of the conventional hypersonic speed range.
