We are waiting for the next round of negotiations; Patel

Vedant Patel, the deputy spokesperson of the US State Department, referred to the frequent shootings on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in recent days.

In this context, referring to the perspective of the peace process, he said: "We are looking forward to holding another round of negotiations in Washington shortly as the parties continue to strive for a peaceful future in the South Caucasus region. We believe direct dialogue is key to resolving issues and achieving a lasting and dignified peace."

According to him, the US continues to believe that the steps that will lead to provoking tensions are ineffective now, "Since the negotiations between Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan operate on different platforms. And that's why we will continue to deal with that issue and impatience shortly," he said.
