Zelensky banned the import of books from Russia and Belarus into Ukraine

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has signed a law prohibiting the import and distribution of Russian and Belarusian publishing products. Citizens demanded his decision through a petition posted on the president's website.

"I signed the law. I consider the law correct," Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to the President of Ukraine, the text of the law has been sent to the EU to assess further whether some of its norms may affect the fulfillment of obligations in terms of the protection of the linguistic rights of minorities.
