9083 civilians were killed after the invasion of the Russian troops into Ukraine. this is stated in the new report of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. In the same period, 15,779 civilians were injured. Most of the victims were in Donetsk and Luhansk regions (4105 dead and 5861 wounded in the territory controlled by Ukraine, 718 dead and 2521 wounded in the territories occupied by Russia).
At the same time, the representative of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, Yuriy Belousov, stated in an interview with the British edition of The Independent in February that up to 100,000 civilians could have died during the war.
