Intel will receive 10 billion investments from Germany to produce microchips

The American company Intel signed an agreement with the German government to receive 10 billion euro subsidies in the city of Magdeburg in the east of the country. This is reported by Bloomberg, referring to sources. According to the agency, the head of the company, Pet Gelsinger, and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will sign the relevant document on Monday.

Initially, Intel planned to use 6.8 billion euros in German government subsidies to build a factory in Magdeburg. Later, the construction of the enterprise was postponed to a later date due to economic difficulties. The plant is currently scheduled to be commissioned in 2027.
