Azerbaijan claims that they did not place a flag on the territory of Armenia.
"Yesterday, a fire was opened in the direction of the employees of the Border Guard Service of Azerbaijan when the flag of Azerbaijan was raised at the Lachin border checkpoint on the Hakari bridge, which is the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan built that bridge in a short period, and the claims that the flag was raised on the territory of Armenia are groundless," Aykhan Hajizade, the official representative of the Azerbaijani MFA, wrote on Twitter today.
