"Rai News 24" reported that Pope Francis has been discharged from Rome's Agostino Gemelli Hospital after abdominal surgery. Pope left the medical facility around 08:44 local time.

According to the TV channel, he will pray at the Roman Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore before returning to the Vatican.
