5.6 billion dollars were collected for Syria

The international community will provide 5.6 billion euros to Syria and the countries hosting Syrian refugees. The decision was made on Thursday, June 15, during the 7th conference of the EU and the United Nations on the issue of Syria held in Brussels. The bulk of the new tranches, 4.6 billion euros, will come in 2023, with another 1 billion coming later.

Those funds will be used to support people hosting Syrian refugees. Grants for 3.8 billion euros will be allocated from the EU budget. 2.1 billion euros will be provided by the European Commission, and 1.7 billion euros by the EU member states separately.
