US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller announced that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Washington. The parties discussed priorities for the July 11-12 summit in Vilnius, including further support for Ukraine, strengthening the alliance's deterrence and defense mechanisms, and Sweden's commitment to NATO membership.
The head of the US Department of Foreign Policy suggested that "a strong package of political and practical support" will be provided to Kyiv in Vilnius.
