Matthew Miller, the spokesperson for the US State Department, referred to the postponement of the planned meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers in Washington.
“It was 100 percent due to scheduling issues. We look forward to the next round of negotiations in Washington as the parties continue to dialogue on peace in the South Caucasus. As we said earlier, direct dialogue is key to solving the remaining issues. We believe that the agreement is available. Unfortunately, this meeting could not occur due to scheduling issues, and we look forward to holding it as soon as possible," he said.
When asked whether it is possible to expect the foreign ministers to visit Washington by the end of this month, the spokesperson of the State Department said: "I'm not going to put a date on it, other than to say we're looking forward to having the meeting again."
