The Lebanese parliament failed to elect a head of state for the 12th time

On Wednesday, the deputies of the unicameral parliament of Lebanon failed to elect the president of the republic for the 12th time. "Al Hadath" TV channel informs about this.

Jihad Azur, who in 2005-2008 held the position of Minister of Finance, and the leader of the Christian "Al-Marada" party, former Minister of Internal Affairs Suleiman Tony Franje, did not get the required number of votes in the first round.
