The US intends to provide Ukraine with depleted uranium tank shells

The administration of US President Joe Biden is ready to approve the supply of "Abrams" tanks with depleted uranium shells to Ukraine. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal on Tuesday, referring to sources.

The newspaper notes that the US authorities have yet to decide on the supply of other weapons (including cluster ones) to Kyiv, the transfer of which is being talked about by several representatives of the US Ministry of Defense. Christopher Cavoli, commander of NATO forces in Europe, claims that cluster munitions will be "extremely effective."
