How much of a legacy did Berlusconi leave?

Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, who died on Monday, is one of the wealthiest people in the country. According to "Corriere della Sera" newspaper, his inheritance is estimated at almost 5 billion euros, which will pass to his five children and 16 grandchildren.

The main share falls to the "Fininvest" family holding, valued at 4.89 billion euros. It includes 50% of the Mediaset TV company, 53% of the Mondadori publishing house, and the Mediolanum bank. Each of the five children (the two eldest from the first marriage, Marina and Pierre Silvio, hold critical positions there) own 7.65%, while Berlusconi retained 61.3%.

According to the latest ranking of Forbes, Berlusconi ranked third on the list of the wealthiest people in Italy. Sometimes he was in the first place. The magazine estimated his wealth at 6.9 billion euros by market standards.
