"We will continue to encourage dialogue." The US State Department about the Pashinyan-Aliev meeting

The US State Department values the open dialogue between Yerevan and Baku to make progress, the official of the US State Department, who did not want to disclose his name, responded to the request of the Armenian service of "Voice of America."

"We are encouraged by the continued engagement and progress in negotiations between the parties on a peace agreement, including today's leaders' meeting in Chisinau. Open dialogue is essential to progress, including a full understanding of perspectives. We will continue to encourage dialogue and support the parties as they work to achieve a lasting and dignified peace," the State Department official said in a response.

It should also be noted that during the meeting with the local Armenian community in Moldova, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that a meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan is expected in Washington on June 12.
