The coast guard forces of the Philippines, the United States, and Japan will conduct joint exercises in the waters of the Philippines for the first time on June 1-7.
Balikatan 2023, the largest annual US-Philippines joint military exercise, took place in April. In February, Washington and Manila also agreed to hand over four new bases in the Philippines to the US military.
