The High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, expressed hope that delivering F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine will begin soon.
Answering the journalist's question whether there is any news regarding the F-16 fighter coalition and their provision to Ukraine, Borel answered: "It is a good initiative made by the G7. Finally, they decided to prepare the ground for providing Ukraine with the necessary fighters. So, I think pilot training has already started. This is the first thing that should be done, and I hope that soon we will be able to provide such weapons to Ukraine," Borel said.
US Air Force Commander Frank Kendall also announced that delivering F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine would begin in a few months.
