The European Commission (EC) intends to oblige non-governmental organizations and other institutions of the EU countries to publish information about any funding received outside the community. Writes the German newspaper "Welt am Sonntag" (WamS).
The document envisages the creation of a national register of information on whether non-EU countries fund NGOs, business associations, PR agencies, and private broadcasters. Such well-known German organizations such as "Transparency International," "Pro Asyl," or "BUND" can be included in it, the newspaper notes.
