Aliyev called Erdogan

On May 15, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, called the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

He congratulated Erdogan on receiving the majority of votes in the Turkish presidential and parliamentary elections.

The radar news agency has learned from Azerbaijani media that Aliyev noted that under the leadership of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey has gone a long way in its development. As a manifestation of this, the people have also shown confidence in their leader in these elections.

It should be noted candidates managed to get at most 50 percent of the votes in the presidential elections of Turkey, although Erdogan is in the first place. Most likely, there will be a second round of elections there.
