Former US President Bill Clinton shared his memories of the meeting with Vladimir Putin in Davos, Switzerland, in 2011 with the "Financial Times" reporter. According to Clinton, after the conversation with the Russian president, it became clear to him that the attack against Ukraine was only a matter of time.
"In 2011, three years before the annexation of Crimea, Vladimir Putin told me that he disagreed with the agreement I signed with Boris Yeltsin. He said that he does not favor it and does not consider himself bound by that agreement. From that day, I knew that it (the war against Ukraine) was only a matter of time," said Bill Clinton.
