The Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan condemned the statements of French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna about the Azerbaijani occupation of Armenian territories, claiming that France did not do the same in the case of Armenia in the previous 30 years.
"Unfortunately, France, which presents itself as a side that "seeks" to settle the conflict, has never condemned Armenia in 30 years. In addition, Azerbaijan's interference in creating a border checkpoint, which is an internal issue, violates the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Instead of showing biased approaches, the French side "would be more useful" to call on Armenia to fulfill the obligations arising from the agreements," said the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
