The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy and Security Affairs, Josep Borrell, referred to Azerbaijan's establishment of a checkpoint in the Lachin Corridor in his Twitter microblog.
Borel, in particular, wrote: "Azerbaijan's installation of a one-way checkpoint along the Lachin Corridor contradicts the calls of the EU to reduce tensions and resolve issues through dialogue. The EU continues to be involved in establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus. The rights and security of Karabakh Armenians must be ensured."
Azerbaijan establishing unilaterally a checkpoint along #Lachin corridor runs counter to EU calls for reducing tensions & solving issues by dialogue. EU continues to engage in promoting peace & stability in South Caucasus. Rights & security of #Karabakh Armenians must be ensured
