Governments worldwide are spending more money than ever on their military. says a new SIPRI report. The USA spent 877 billion dollars on its military sector in 2022, according to a new report from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI). It accounts for nearly 40% of global military spending, three times that of China, the second largest budget.
"In 2022, the United States allocated $295 billion for military operations and defense, $264 billion for procurement, research, and development, and $167 billion for military personnel," the report said.
