By the end of the year, the European Parliament expects to approve new legislative initiatives aimed at the unified regulation of the work of neural networks and artificial intelligence in the EU. European Commissioner for Digitization and Competition Margrethe Vestage said in an interview with the Nikkei newspaper.
Under the new legislation, artificial intelligence-based neural networks and software will be assigned a potential risk level on a four-point scale. A special EU commission will evaluate the most dangerous neural networks before being put into mass use.
