Speaking at the government meeting, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, announced that in 2022, compared to 2021, Ukraine increased the country's defense expenses nine times.
According to "SIPRI" experts, Ukraine's defense expenses will reach 44 billion dollars in 2022, meaning it has increased 6.4 times in one year. As a result, taking into account the damage caused to the economy of Ukraine related to military operations, the military burden on the budget increased from 3.2% in 2021 to 34% in 2022.
