The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan referred to the statement of the RA Foreign Ministry about establishing a checkpoint in Lachin, noting that their actions are legal.
"Azerbaijan's decision to install a checkpoint on the border with Armenia is legal and complies with all norms of international law. Moreover, during the meetings held in Prague and Sochi, Armenia itself recognized the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan," the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan stated.
Azerbaijan's foreign policy department also noted that Armenia should respect and accept Azerbaijan's right to control entry into its territory.
