on Thursday, Financial Times reported that China has left unanswered the request of the Russian private military company "Wagner" to purchase weapons and ammunition, which was made at the beginning of 2023. According to a US intelligence report, as of early January, China had not sent any weapons to Wagner, even for testing, and had yet to contact Wagner about supplying weapons.
Washington has previously said Beijing is considering supplying Russia with lethal weapons to replenish its stockpile of ammunition, artillery shells, and missiles. Still, it has stressed there is no evidence China has provided such support to Russia.
