Securing a cessation of hostilities between Armenia and Azerbaijan is important to Blinken

Vendant Patel, the deputy speaker of the US State Department, in his weekly briefing, referred to Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and the Nagorno-Karabakh problem. Patel, in particular, stated: "Ensuring the cessation of hostilities between Armenia and Azerbaijan, especially in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, continues to be of great importance to Secretary of State Blinken.
He had the opportunity to meet with the leaders of those countries a few weeks ago within the framework of the Munich Security Conference. We continue to deal with this issue actively. Mr. Bono and our other representatives are actively engaged in this matter. I have no further news at this stage."
