The nephew of the 35th US President John Kennedy, Robert Kennedy Jr., has announced that he will run for president in 2024 from the Democratic Party. "I came here to announce my candidacy for President of the United States from the Democratic Party," Kennedy Jr. said in Boston.
"It is my mission over the next 18 months of this campaign and throughout my presidency to end the corrupt fusion of state and corporate power," Kennedy said.
