Swiss bank Credit Suisse continued to hold accounts that were opened after 1945 and linked to Nazis in Argentina until 2020, according to the US Senate Budget Committee website.
In 2020, the human rights organization "Simon Wiesenthal Center" informed the bank that it had information about possible accounts related to the Nazis. After that, Credit Suisse launched an internal investigation. According to US lawmakers, its scope was unreasonably narrow, and the bank, for some reason, removed the independent ombudsman from the study.
