Elon Musk has registered a company called "X.AI" in Nevada, laying the foundation for a startup in artificial intelligence. Musk has often publicly criticized OpenAI, the most prominent AI startup. In February, it was reported that Musk approached researchers with a proposal to create a new artificial intelligence research lab to compete with the creator of ChatGPT and Dall-E.
Igor Babushkin, a former Google DeepMind employee, said he and Musk discussed the possibility of teaming up. The effort could be part of Musk's larger ambitions to create a super-powered and super-weaponized app called "X."
