During the recent telephone conversations between the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Iran, a thorough exchange of ideas took place regarding the situation between the two countries, said Aykhan Hajizada, the spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan.
He also noted that the Azerbaijani side positively evaluates these negotiations and considers it essential to continue the consultations.
"Azerbaijan is always interested in developing neighborly relations with all neighboring countries, including Iran.
Mutual respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the states is the unchanging priority of the foreign policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani side continues its efforts to ensure the country's national interests and national security," the representative of the Foreign Ministry emphasized.
