The armed forces of Ukraine are preparing eight new assault brigades with a total of 40,000 troops for a counter-attack. "The offensive should begin in the coming weeks or months," Reuters cites the military.
According to the agency, these units are made up of motivated volunteers called in as part of an advertising campaign to recruit fighters. In early February, Ukraine began the process of recruiting militants.
