Ukraine does not rule out the possibility of negotiations with Russia on the future of Russian-occupied Crimea after a successful counteroffensive by the Ukrainian army, which could begin in the spring.
"If we manage to achieve our strategic goals on the battlefield and reach the border of Crimea, we are ready to open a diplomatic page for discussing this issue," said Andriy Sibiga, the deputy head of the office of President of Ukraine. "It does not mean that we exclude the way of military liberation of Crimea by our army," the Ukrainian official added.
